Overview

The Y5 is Yobotics' desktop-class, high-dynamic quadruped robot for education and research. It measures about 455x227x280 mm standing (450x227x173 mm folded), weighs about 5.6 kg with 12 DoF (3 per leg), carries >3 kg while walking, runs at 1.4 m/s unloaded and lasts 110 minutes per charge. It supports walk/trot gaits, standing, lying down, dynamic balance and fall recovery, runs Ubuntu on an Upboard Intel Atom processor and exposes USB, Ethernet, serial and CAN interfaces for secondary development - a flagship platform for quadruped education and research.
