Kaicheng RXLS-EX102 Explosion-proof Wheeled Inspection Robot
Overview
The RXLS-EX102 explosion-proof wheeled inspection robot is developed by CITIC Heavy Industries Kaicheng Intelligent Equipment for Class I/II explosive atmospheres such as petrochemical plants, coking facilities and underground pump rooms. The system comprises the robot body, wireless base station, autonomous charging dock and remote control station; it navigates autonomously for high-precision inspection, reading instruments, valve positions and equipment status, and supports leak detection, video/audio analysis, temperature acquisition, autonomous obstacle avoidance, two-way intercom, data archiving, auxiliary lighting and mobile control. It features battery self-check with autonomous charging, an intrinsically-safe lifting pan-tilt, 4G/5G/WiFi links and slope/obstacle climbing for long-term operation in toxic, high-temperature, dusty, rainy or dark conditions. It was exhibited at the 2021 World Robot Conference and won the 2022 China Excellent Industrial Design Award (Bronze); a fire-reconnaissance variant carries a 200 L/s water monitor.
