Overview
“Lightning” is HONOR’s in-house athletic humanoid, first shown at MWC in March 2026 and announced by HONOR’s CMO on April 12, 2026 together with “Yuanqizai”. On April 19, 2026, HONOR’s Qitian Dasheng team “Lightning” won the Beijing E-Town Humanoid Half Marathon in 50:26 net time — beating the human men’s half-marathon world record (57:20 set by Kiplimo in March 2026) — fully autonomous with an average pace of about 2:23/km, making HONOR the first phone maker to win the event as HONOR robots swept the top six; it repeated the win in August 2026 in 48:19. Lightning is 169 cm tall with a sleek mech exterior built for speed and power: a self-developed high-dynamic locomotion system for high-speed running and rough-terrain adaptation, a floating liquid-cooling pump (liquid-cooled backpack) and hot-swap quick battery exchange; race versions include autonomous-navigation and remote-controlled units. HONOR announced its robotics entry in May 2025 (on-stage prototype ran at 4 m/s); the 200+ member robot team spans Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
