G-NIUS Guardium Unmanned Ground Vehicle
Overview
The Guardium is a wheeled unmanned ground vehicle developed by G-NIUS, the joint venture of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems, deployed for border and perimeter security patrols. It operates in autonomous or tele-operated mode; in autonomous mode it follows pre-programmed routes for up to 103 consecutive hours while avoiding obstacles. A 360-degree rotating day/thermal camera mast plus radars and high-sensitivity microphones provide round-the-clock surveillance and evidence recording, with operational service in IDF border patrols.
