BXI Elf 3 Bipedal Humanoid Robot

Overview
Shanghai BXI is a humanoid robot and joint-motor manufacturer focused on embodied-intelligence system design and manufacturing, offering complete humanoids, high-performance joint motors and turnkey OEM/ODM solutions. Elf 3 is its mid-sized bipedal humanoid research platform: 1450 mm tall and about 38 kg, with 31 DOF excluding hands (6 per leg + 7 per arm + 3 waist + 2 head), all driven by BXI's self-developed hollow-shaft planetary joint motors (5014/5018/7010/8515 series), capable of running, jumping, flips and parkour at up to 5 m/s (~18 km/h). Each arm lifts 5 kg continuously at horizontal extension or 10 kg with elbow support; the skeleton-style lightweight frame allows custom shells; hollow routing drastically reduces wiring and the hot-swappable battery yields about 1 hour of walking runtime. A PCIE-CANFD bus keeps whole-body control above 1000 Hz; the compute platform is an Intel Core i7-1370P with 16 GB/512 GB, sensing includes a RealSense D435i depth camera, IMU and 8-microphone array. Software ships Ubuntu 22.04 + ROS2 SDK + one-click MuJoCo simulation, with CANFD MIT-protocol direct motor control and both teleoperation and autonomous modes, ready to use for embodied-AI research and secondary development.
